Over the past few weeks I’ve been participating in American Copywriter’s KC Coffee Mornings, and it’s been a lot of fun and full of great conversation.
In the spirit of what Coffee Mornings are all about, I thought I’d also start posting about where each week’s get together will be held so that we might begin to expand the group a little more. Slowly but surely, each week sees some new faces, and we’d like to see yours if you live in the Kansas City metro area. And if you don’t, we encourage you start your own wherever you live. It’s great to take social networks old school.
The coffee morning for January 19, 2007 is being held at JP Wine Bar and Coffee House (directions) @ 7:30am. We’ve had one coffee morning at JP so far, and I think their coffee has been my favorite so far. I hope to see you there!
FYI, here’s some frequently asked questions pulled straight from today’s AC post:
Do you really meet up at 7:30?
Yes, yes we do. Well, some of us are there at 7:30… don’t feel like you HAVE to be there on time — but know that you’ll miss out on some good stuff if you aren’t. (Jeremy’s note: I usually get there around 7:45.)
What do you talk about?
Anything and everything. It’s not an Ad-Industry-only kind of thing. Have good stew the night before? Wish you could compete for World’s Strongest Man? Really dislike the new Subway ads? It’s all game here.
Is drinking coffee required?
No. But it should be mentioned that coffee is a wonderful antioxidant and it enhances short-term memory.
Is talking required?
No. Morning grumps are welcome. But we may point and laugh at you. We’ll also take a photo of you, too.
