I like del.icio.us ’cause it’s so… delicious?

It looks like the next version of del.icio.us is launching today. This was one of the first “Web 2.0″ tools that I embraced and haven’t looked back since.
It’s been a great utility, but it’s certainly never been the prettiest girl at the prom. As we all know, sex sells (although Don Draper argued against that last week) and I certainly hope that the new Delicious is sexy.
And also, it looks like we’re moving away from the del.icio.us nomenclature and moving simply to delicious. Interesting.
// UPDATE: Well, actually it’s not an update because technically this is still the first draft of the post. But, anyway, the site launched and directs you to delicious.com (that’s new, isn’t it?). The new version stays true to its minimalist/utilitarian design roots while getting a much needed clean-up. This is much better. Now, hopefully I can more easily prune back some of the bookmark overgrowth I’ve accumulated through their interface. That’s the big test for me.
