Muxtape = sweet old school love in the new dawn.

I used to be the king of the mix tape. Rob Gordon had nothing on me. My wife can attest to that. She received many a mix tape in her mailbox when she was in high school.

Practicing the art of putting together the perfect mix tape was the most fulfilling part of making them for me, and you can imagine the giddiness I felt when I ran across Muxtape last week.

Muxtape is a site that allows you to put together MP3 “mix tapes” to share with others in the muxtape community as well as with the world at large. Like a particular mix? Favorite it, or subscribe to it via RSS.

The site is very simple and minimalistic, but that’s what makes it work in my opinion. I look forward to seeing how this site develops, and even more so, I look forward to making some muxtapes of my own. I’ve had a few music-based posts that I’ve wanted to do here for a year or two but just never had the best way to pull them off. With muxtape, I can make those posts a reality.
