Tonight’s the night the Cöbra strikes.
We’ve practiced. We’ve figured out our stage show. We’ve printed off our lyric sheets. There’s nothing left now but the show, and that show is tonight.
Barkley’s German techno band, Das Cöbra, will be taking the stage around 11:00 tonight at Crosstown Station as part of the third annual Battle Of The Ad Bands presented by the Kansas City ad2 Club. I, along with 6 other men who should know better, will be entertaining the masses and living not 15, but 30 minutes of fame.
I have the butterflies in the stomach and I don’t think today will be terribly productive. I’m doing my best though to concentrate until 3:30.
If you can, we’d love to see you at the show tonight. If you can’t, just wish us luck.
